    Production Bread Manager
    215 E. Main Street, Chattanooga, TN

    The Production Manager’s primary function is overseeing, while participating in, the bench production phases of Niedlov’s Breadworks’ handcrafted artisan breads, wholesale breads, and private label products. The Production Manager is responsible for: Bench Supervisor & Bench Production Staff, Mixers, and Bakers.

    Some job functions include:

    • Leading the Bench Supervisor and Bench Production team by; 
    • Modeling and maintaining high standards of quality in bread production
    • Fostering good morale, communication, and working relationships with all coworkers
    • Working well with fellow managers and aiding in development of organizational vision
    • Ensuring timely and efficient production of high-quality breads
    • Supporting and advising the Bench Supervisor to ensure that production staff have guidance at all times
    • Working alongside production team during hours of operation (ranging from 5AM-4PM.)
    • Maintaining equipment/workspaces in good, safe condition. Demonstrate and require safe practices
    • Facilitating communication and feedback between Production and other departments/managers
    • Troubleshooting production methods to address any quality issues and seasonal changes
    • Conducting interviews and hiring new staff
    • Supervising and tracking training of new employees, monitoring and reviewing employee performance
    • Coordinating weekly scheduling, paying attention to employee attendance and punctuality
    • Implementing schedule of daily cleaning/maintenance tasks; suggesting and performing periodic cleaning/maintenance tasks
    • Optimizing equipment condition/cleanliness and manner of use during daily production

     

    Education and/or work experience requirements:

    • 2+Years of baking experience
    • 3+Years of management experience

     

    Physical requirements:

    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other local standards
    • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
    • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours.)
