  • Exchange ideas with fellow bakers and bakery professionals

OPENING SESSION

CRAFT AND CONSISTENCY: HOW WE LEARN, TEACH, AND LEAD IN BAKING

What does it take to make great baked goods and to make them consistently, day after day, in a high-pressure environment? Our opening conversation brings together bakers and baking professionals who have taken very different paths into the craft and into leadership. Some learned through formal training, others through production and observation, while others built the systems, standards, and training programs that enable large bakeries to produce great bread at scale. Together, they’ll share the experiences, mistakes, and moments that shaped what they know about baking and about running a bakery, and how they pass those lessons on, whether teaching one baker at a time or building the training that shapes an entire team.

BAKING CLASSES & DEMONSTRATIONS

Camp Bread features more than 30 hands-on baking classes and demonstrations, giving you ample opportunity to participate in great baking in action and learn directly from seasoned professionals.

This year, we’re featuring three Production Bootcamps focused on the essential techniques behind making artisan baked goods at scale. Strong technique is the foundation of consistent baking practice and these intensive sessions will give you the chance to build and refine the skills that make all the difference in your production.
